Between my mother's love of photography and my father working in an old printshop in San Francisco I caught the "photo bug". I remember being in the darkroom watching blank paper float like clouds in a pan of developer, images coming to life and then hang on the line to dry like laundry on a summer day. Paper, ink and a bottle of old rose potpourri are the scents of my childhood. To me photography is like a sweet scent, it wafts by, fills your senses, then is gone and only a memory remains.
